Exit Stage Left

I just remembered something.

At Oklahoma...right before intermission Ethan had to do his duty. Needless to say our seats were right smack dab in the mdidle of the row. So we had to climb over fourteen people to our left to make our way to the BR. On our way back to the theater, Ethan pointed up and said, "Mom, that sign says EXIT". It did! It really did. I was floored. Way to go buddy.

(Get it Exit Stage Left)...tee hee

O-A-K-L-A-H-O-M-A

Tonight, Ethan and I along with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Dan went to my high school's performance of OAKLAHOMA. It was really well done. It was actually a comination of high school and community, so I knew of few of the actors. Ethan, I think, really enjoyed himself. It was his first live performance. I went to East Central High School in Sandstone, MN. They just built a new K-12 school and it was Dan's and my first time in the new building. Can I just was WOW! They even have a pool!

That's all.

Another one

So Sunday I returned home from a blissful weekend of sewing, food and laughing. The quilt retreat. What a blast. to view some of the projects the girls made click here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lisannie/

Needless to say, when I returned home, I returned to the land of neverending fevers. Yes, people we are on day 5 of E having a fever. Can I go back to WLBC? Please? Another four days of sewing! I don't think I can wait until March 08.

Ah, the trenches of mommyville! Gotta love it!

Favorites

Well, next week the holiday madness begins. I love the holidays...Thanksgiving leading up to Christmas and the celebration of Jesus' birth. Love it all!

First up Thanksgiving.

We actually don't have plans this year for Thanksgiving, at least nothing set in stone. But I am dreaming of a lots of turkey, sweet potatoes, corn--and of course--chocolate mud pie (a tradition in our family).

What are your three favorite thanksgiving dinner must haves? Also, do you have any fun family traditions?

Tattle Tale

Every morning I look forward to hearing Ethan get up and his little feet run into our room. He usually pokes me and asks"Mom, is it wake up time."

This morning Brian and I were up before our little superhero rose. I was sitting on the bed watching the morning news when Ethan came in and asked if dad was still downstairs. I said "no, he's getting ready for work. Go tell him good morning."

Brian said "Good morning buddy."

Instead of Ethan's usual good morning...he said "Dad, mom wouldn't read me a book last night." Brian smiled at me and asked, "Are you tattle tailing on mommy?"

Oops busted. But I did have a good reason...it was nine o'clock. I used my mommy power.

Seussical

I talked to Sara Kessler tonight at Latte and she is preforming in Seussical the musical at the Phipps Center, which opened on 11/2. I would love to go. Anybody interested? Check out the website for times and tickets: http://www.thephipps.org/theater_productions.htm

So that reminded me of Dr. Suess Books. My favorite growing up was Fox in Sox, I always made my grandma from California read it whenever she came to visit us. So much that she would ask my mom to hide the book before she would come visit. I eventually caught on and would check the book out from the library at school.

What is your favorite Dr. Suess book and why?
