A little Jane Austen in 2008

Last night, Daddy and Critterman settled down in bed to watch tv. I had been sewing all afternoon and wanted to finish the little bag I was making. All of a sudden the power went out. I'm talking pitch black. I had to use the light on the remote control to sorta see to the kitchen to find a candle and the lighter. Finally able to see, I stumbled into the bedroom to check on my guys. I think Ethan was a little distirbed by the complete blackout.

After about an hour or so, Brian and Ethan needed to go to sleep. After they were settled I lit 10 candles or so and started to continue reading "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. Reading by candlelight was pretty cool, I felt like I stepped back in time. Two minutes into my reading, the lights came back on. I was kinda disappointed, but it was fun too.

The Big 4

Today is the 4th anniversary of the best day of my life. My little Ethan was born. Thanks to God for giving me such a good boy. He has his Daddy's eyes and the best little heart in the world.

Aside from Christ, he is the greatest gift I have ever received!

Sew much fun

Today, I wasn't feeling well. So I stayed in my jammies and skipped the workout and the weigh-in and stayed home. I watched tv and sewed. I made another cute little baby bunting and matching pillow, and a crayon carry bag for Critterman's birthday on Monday. Now I am going to curl up under a blanket and watch a movie. Early bed night too.

Littlest sis--is that a good enough post?

Good food for cold weather.

Today, I made mini meatloaves, baked potatoes and cream corn for lunch. It warmed me right up--it's one of my favorites. Getting a little stir crazy here due to the cold weather.

What is your favorite "warm me up" meal?

Royal Edict

The Blogging Queen, whose name shall be known only to me has give a royal edict that I am supposed to blog.

What to blog about? hmmm...well, I have discovered a new movie passion...JANE EYRE. Mr. Rochester is...(at the risk of sounding really cheesy!) DREAMY. If swooning were still in, I'd be the the number one swooner. My only disappointment was waiting so long to read the book/watch the movie.

My other blogging event is that the Jane Austen "movie of the week" has started on Masterpiece Theater. I highly recommend all the movies.

What is your favorite Jane Austen flick/book?
